Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Will Host the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards Cartier At NBC Universal And Focus Features' Golden Globes After Party

Is it January 13 yet?

As if I didn’t love them enough already, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler get all dolled up and channel Hollywood’s classic leading ladies in the first promo for this year’s Golden Globes. In case you didn’t know, the funny girls/longtime BFFs are hosting the “greatest celebrity party/awards show” exactly one month from today.

Hollywood has been buzzing about the pair taking over for three-time host Ricky Gervais, and if this promo is any indication, then they surely won’t disappoint!

Nominations for this year’s awards were announced this morning. For a full list of the nominees, click here.

Will you watch Tina and Amy on the Golden Globes?

Election Day In America

November 6, 2012 Leave a comment

After what seems like an eternity of endless campaigning, election day has finally arrived. Admittedly, I’ve never been all that into politics, but it’s hard not getting caught up in the excitement of the day. It was hardly 8:30 in the morning, and already my classmates were lining up at the polls to cast their vote. No matter that they had to wait outside in the bitter cold, some for over an hour. Nothing was going to stop them from having their voice heard.

As a Canadian studying medicine in the United States, I realize that the outcome of this election will have a huge impact on my future, probably in more ways than I can even imagine. So, with that said, I urge all my American friends, Democrats and Republicans, to go out and vote!

For up-to-the-minute election coverage, check out my good friend — and political junkie — Jamie’s blog. He’ll be live tweeting the results tonight!

Rob Lowe Settling Down in Pawnee

Parks and Recreations won’t be back with a new episode until next week, but fans now have one less thing to worry about in the meantime. At last night’s Parks and Recreation PaleyFest panel, producer Mike Schur addressed the question on everyone’s lips by happily announcing that Rob Lowe would be sticking around Pawnee, this despite his sunny state auditor returning to Indianapolis in the most recent episode.  Putting to rest any doubts about Lowe’s future on the critically acclaimed sitcom, Schur assured fans that the actor’s contract extends well beyond this season, and that there was “zero truth” to the rumors that Lowe was being wooed by CBS to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men.  Is anyone else already rooting for a Chris/Ann reunion?
